What Sagittarius tends to be like

Sagittarius loves to go far. Sagittarius would rather travel than arrive, on the road or in its head, and believes the next hill has the better view. Sagittarius says what it thinks and is honestly surprised when that stings. It means well, nearly always, and laughs easily, including at itself. Sagittarius loves big questions, far-off places and plans that are slightly too big. On a good day Sagittarius is the friend who talks you into the trip and the colleague who sees the whole picture when everyone else is lost in a corner of it. On a harder day Sagittarius promises more than a week can hold, or leaves before the hard part. A good day for Sagittarius is one with a horizon in it.

Sagittarius needs room to move, in love too. Sagittarius needs a partner who is also a companion on the road. It is honest to a fault and generous with its time, and it cannot be kept in a small life.

Give Sagittarius the long view and a reason to believe in it. Sagittarius is at its best in teaching, travel, publishing and strategy, in anything with a far horizon. Small rules and a short leash wear Sagittarius down.

Sagittarius makes things that point the way. Sagittarius is better at the vision than the detail, works in enthusiastic bursts, and needs a collaborator for the last ten per cent.
